This no-fuss water-based mosquito trap mimics the breeding sites of mosquitoes, which entices the females to lay their eggs in it. Once they do, however, the inner screen will trap the larvae and keep them from escaping. Lightweight yet durable and compact, this trap will work through all but the most extreme weather and keep working as long as you need it.

Before using this trap, it is recommended that all sources of standing water be removed from the yard in order to eliminate any potential mosquito breeding areas. This includes even the smallest of areas or containers that can hold water – mosquitoes can breed in a bottle cap of water.
This Product Controls These Pests or Diseases: The most common mosquito species.
For most effective results, it is crucial to remove all other sources of standing water in your yard. Flip over or remove any containers, even small ones, that can collect water and become mosquito breeding grounds.
SET UP –
- Remove cap and internal floating screen from the Skeet-O-Trap.
- Fill the trap with water until the level is within half an inch of the overflow holes (approximately 30 fl. oz.).
- Add a few pieces of organic material such as grass clippings, leaves, etc. to the water. Only a small amount is necessary, as this is an additive to stagnate the water.
- Place the floating screen back inside the container with its handle facing up, making sure that it fits under the prongs of the cup's handle and floats on the water's surface.
- Place the cap back on top of the container.
PLACEMENT & NUMBER OF TRAPS –
- Place the trap in shaded area away from your main outdoor living space to draw mosquitoes away.
- Can be placed on a flat surface or hung using the attached silver handle.
- For a small yard, 1-2 traps should be sufficient. If your yard is larger, multiple traps may be necessary, spaced approximately 50 feet apart.
REFILL/REUSE –
- Refill the trap when the water level falls to below one inch. It is not necessary to empty out the water in the trap; the more stagnant the water gets, the better an attractant it becomes.
Do not use trap as a drinking container.
