Phosphorus (P)

As the P in the N-P-K equation, phosphorus (P) stands as an essential nutrient and is crucial for healthy plant growth. Plants need phosphorus to uptake nutrients from the soil, to transfer energy, to pass genetic information from one generation to another and to transform sugars and starches into building blocks for growth. Phosphorus also allows photosynthesis to take place, which all breathing beings need. Unfortunately, phosphorus can become bound up in the soil due to various factors, so solubilizing it and getting it moving may become necessary.
