Guanos

Guanos - bird & bat excrement - come in a variety of blends and are often added to organic fertilizer mixes to add nutritional content. Many guanos are high in nitrogen and/or phosphorus, making them valuable additions to feeding programs for fruiting and flowering plants. Due to the varied diets of bats and birds, some blends will contain trace minerals not found in others including chitin - which stimulates plant defenses leading to the production of jasmonate hormones. Guanos are also a favorite for liquid teas, with many being water soluble.
