Broadcast these easy, ready-to-use Mosquito Bits in water gardens, flower pots, rain barrels, bird baths, tree holes, unused swimming pools, old automobile tires - anywhere you have standing water that is a breeding ground for mosquitoes, fungus gnats, or black fly. Mosquito Bits use Bacillus thuringiensis v. israelensis to kill mosquito and fungus gnat larvae before they mature into breeding adults. Mosquito Bits kill mosquito species that transmit West Nile Virus, Malaria, Dengue Fever and Zika Virus.
General Applications: Sprinkle 1 tspn. of Mosquito Bits per 25 square feet or 1 tbsp. per 75 square feet uniformly over the over the surface of standing water found around the home. Seven to fourteen day intervals are recommended for repeated applications during the mosquito season. Longer periods of mosquito control can be achieved with Mosquito Dunks.
Fungus Gnat Control: Sprinkle or spread the Mosquito Bits granules over the soil until the area is covered. Water releases the Bti into the soil where the fungus gnat larvae feed on it and die. Repeat the process weekly for a three week period to establish control. Repeat process if fungus gnats reappear.
