The BugZooka is an easy and fun way to catch all manner of creeping and flying insects. This ingenious product uses suction power to draw the bugs into the removable catch tube with a simple press of a button. Homeowners will find many uses for the BugZooka. Not only is it handy for removing insects that have migrated inside of homes, the catch tube allows you to examine and identify what you've caught. BugZooka comes with the aforementioned clear catch tube, and also a smoke catch tube - if you prefer not to see what you caught.

Once the insects have been caught in the BugZooka, you can deal with them in several different ways:

  1. To avoid killing them, go outside and expel the bugs from the BugZooka into the yard.
  2. Just leave the bugs in the catch tube. They will eventually dehydrate and die.
  3. To kill them quickly, simply spray a pea-sized ball of tissue with a commercial household bug killer and suck it up into the BugZooka.
  4. Place the catch tube in the freezer for about an hour and then empty the catch tube in the trash.

This Product Controls These Pests or Diseases: Asian Ladybeetles, Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs, Mosquitos, Flies, Cockroaches, Silverfish, Spiders and more.

Use Instructions: Before using, you will need to assemble the BugZooka as follows: With main suction unit in hand, simply attach telescopic extension tube and the clear removable catch tube. You are now ready to begin catching bugs.

    Step 1 - Simply compress bellow until it locks into place. It helps to compress bellow with hand or hip.
    Step 2 - Once the bug is located, put trap doors as close to bug as possible (1/4" or closer for maximum suction) and simply press the red trigger button. The bellow will quickly expand and the bug will be instantly sucked through the trap doors and held in the removable catch tube.

Warning & Toxicities: Because the bellow expands, be sure to never point the bellow at your face or body. Kids should never be allowed to operate the BugZooka without proper adult supervision and instructions.

We've bought several different bug grabbers over the years and this is one of the best. You do have to get kind of close to the bug, which is the only drawback if it's a flying pest, but it's very effective. I bought two.

Needed replacement parts

I already owned the BugZooka was needed replacement parts. Was so happy to find that Arbico carried them, one of the very few places that does, apparently. Prices were reasonable, shipping was super-fast, great follow-up service! Thank you.

The tube isn't a perfect fit and needs a ton of pressure just to get it on the telescoped tube sufficiently. Even though I can't get to slide on flush it's so tight it's not moving. Suction is great. The flap are silicon and pliable yet seem to work so far. I'm sure it's fine but miss the hard plastic flaps. I have an early model zookah. Maybe these replacements are better for later day versions if they were changed.

We get some moths, flys, spiders in the house. Worked well. The captured are shocked when in the tube... but are alive when we set them free.

Cool gadget, but it limited in size, I can't get the huge roaches or waterbugs with. No returns on this Arbico site, but they were still helpful in directing me to manufacture, No Returns is clearly stated on site for this product. If you got small bugs it works like a charm, just gotta sneak up on the house flys though. Great product!

I've had my Bugzooka for several years now. Unfortunately, the end of it was broken. Arbico Organics carries it at a very reasonable price. Now I can get back to trapping the stink bugs that overwhelm us every year.

Some miscommunications on my part led to a delayed response, noted in an earlier review, but eventually the good folks at Arbico's made everything right and I just ordered another unit for friends (have two now, myself). This is something every home should have. Forget poisons or violating the principle of Ahimsa. Just suck up spiders and other unwelcome insects and let them go outside. A fabulous tool!!!

I must be one of the original Bugzooka users - I've seen at least three variations in the model. I have used it for years to capture insects to view under a microscope and show fourth and fifth graders the pictures. We have used it in summer science camp for the kids to catch things. One kid even got one for Christmas based on his enthusiasm. I suggest you list your product in the educational science catalogs for kids - bet you'll sell a few! I also suggest you contact entomological societies and biology teachers at all levels. It works great!

Still Waiting for Replacement of Defective Part

A wonderful product. I was trying to obtain a second backup (I have two already) but I'm into my third month and repeated emails and phone calls trying to get a defective part replaced on this order through Arbico. Previous orders through Amazon went without a hitch.

BUGZOOKA!. You may think this is a toy but it will become your favorite tool to rid your garden of insects that are harmful to your plants. Great design. Works like a vacuum cleaner and it does not need batteries nor electricity. Ingenious! The opening is approx. 1/2" x 1" hinged slot so it does have some limitations. You'll have to catch those grasshoppers in their adolescent stage while they are small. 5 stars rating from me!

STINK BUGS BEWARE !!

I discovered these about 15 years ago and have gone through several (tells you how many stinkbugs are in my area, ugh). This is the best invention ever created to handle pesky critters you don't want to touch. Easy to use and clean and the extra "trap" is a welcome addition. After heavy use over many years they do get a bit tired but are so worth it. I've already turned on about 8 people to this gadget and they loved it as well..

I have one for upstairs and one for downstairs. Love this thing, and have given it to family members for their houses. Spiders and moths are easy to get. The best challenge is sneaking up on houseflies. You move the mouth of the Bugzooka up slowly until you are 1/4" from the fly, so they think it's not a threat, and then suddenly they're wondering, what the heck just happened. Beats making fly smudges on the walls.
