Description

Finding out which pest insects are eating your plants is the first step in any Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program and this type of sticky trap is the go-to choice for monitoring and control. ARBICO Organics Yellow Pest Traps work as a visual attractant for a wide range of crawling and flying insect pests. They are drawn in by the bright color and become hopelessly stuck. Once they are trapped, the 5" x 7" gridded surface makes it easy to count just how many have landed and been captured on the trap. The sticky surface not only eliminates adult pests caught there, it prevents them from reproducing and creating more to deal with. There is a very low risk to beneficial organisms, but some may become caught by accident. Place these traps inside or out; you can even cut them to form a custom shape for a particular need. Results could vary due to trap placement, seasonal weather variations, size of pest populations present before installing traps, presence and numbers of natural pest predators, extreme weather, chemical spray contamination as well as disruption and/or damage due human or other interference.

The adhesive on these traps in non-toxic, but make every attempt to keep them away from children and pets as they will easily stick to hair and eyelashes. If this does happen, use soap and water to clean it up. Some people also use vegetable or baby oil to remove adhesive.

Suggested Uses: Use to lure, trap and monitor insect pests in greenhouses, gardens, orchards & vineyards, nurseries, grow rooms, hydroponics, aquaponics, interiorscapes, landscapes, container plants, row crops and houseplants.

This Product Controls These Pests or Diseases: Aphids, Bean Beetles - Mexican Bean Beetle (Epilachna varivestis Mulsant), California Laurel Aphid (Euthoracaphis umbellulariae), Flea Beetle (Chaetocnema confines), Fungus Gnats (Bradysia impatiens), Greenhouse Whitefly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum), Leafminers (Phyllocnistis sp), Psyllids, Shore Flies, Silverleaf Whitefly (Bemisia sp), Sweet Potato Whitefly (Bemisia tabaci), Sweetpotato Whitefly (Bemisia sp and more.

Remove the protective covering and either hang the trap or place it on the ground. You can hang the traps virtually anywhere, or you can insert them into the ground with a stake (not included) and stick that into your growing medium. If hung, traps should be slightly above the plant canopy. These can also be placed on the ground for crawling insects.

  • For trapping in the greenhouse or garden, use roughly one trap per 10-25 square feet.
  • For monitoring, use roughly 4-6 traps per acre.


Warning & Toxicities:

The adhesive on our Yellow Insect Traps is NON-TOXIC. However, keep in mind:

  • If any part of the trap is ingested, seek medical attention.
  • Keep your traps out of the reach of children and pets.
  • Keep your traps away from your hair and eyes. The adhesive could easily attach and pull out hair and lashes.

we ordered these just to put around our greenhouse and nursery area, as it was being overrun by flies from the neighboring chicken pen. We happened to put a few right next to the liquid smelly, fly traps, and what a bonanza! The smell of the traps bring them in and the yellow sticky paper keeps them and holds them. we filled one of these yellow cards in about an hour, replaced it and filled another one, replaced it and filled another one! We're still trapping! This combination works amazingly well.

These yellow, sticky papers attract yellow jackets, and capture a bunch of flying, biting insects. There were a few spiders, too. I think these were a great investment. I set out 2 dozen cards. Each card attracted a dozen or more wasps. A couple days later, I replaced the cards with fresh ones. It has helped us enjoy being outside this August.

These yellow traps work great for controlling whitefly in our greenhouse!

We have had whiteflies on the tomatoes in our greenhouse. Although we would spray for them, they really affected our tomato plants. Now we hang one of these traps in our greenhouse until it gets coated with whiteflies and then replace it. We spray also, but the traps are incredibly effective at controlling the whiteflies. I am so glad we found these!

I heard about Arbico Organics Yellow Insect Traps on a gardening radio show and I am so glad I did! These cards work phenomenally, within a day it was catching fungus gnats. I also like that you can cut the card to different sizes and use them in your plants to catch the insects. Would highly recommend.

This product is excellent! I made a mistake when I only ordered ten traps. It turned out that the traps are so effective I should have ordered more. I have walnuts tree that have been plagued with the walnut husk fly. I'm sure this fall that problem will be solved and I will get a lot of good walnuts. Thanks Arbico Organics.

I've used yellow sticky boards to control fungus gnats and aphids. But the ones from Arbico are a heavier stock, double sided, and more durable than others I have found in stores. They're priced right, and more effective due to being sticky on both sides.

The Yellow Traps have really knocked down our whitefly population and it attracts flies and other insects. The sad thing for me is it also catches ladybugs and bees - not a lot of them, but I wish it didn't catch any at all. I have managed to save a few when they land on their feet, I can use my exacto knife and run it under their legs carefully and scoot them off the sticky part, but you have to do this in one quick swipe or they stick in another place. If they land on their back, they have already torn their wings off. They seem to be okay if you can make this work. I don't know for sure, but I hope it saves their lives. I guess it's the cost of trying to get rid of the bad insects.

I've used sticky traps for years from various manufacturers as a retired research technician we tried all kinds, some with pheromones and others just colors. The Cuban anoles don't stand a chance of escaping these cards. So I need to build a cage to keep them from the buffet or becoming part of the buffet. I purchased yellow and blue sticky cards, white flies, and thrips mainly. The yellow had white flies in minutes as I had disturbed the branches.
