Trichogramma brassicae is especially useful for controlling moth (Lepidoptera) populations on cole crops. Use T. brassicae in cooler climates with low-lying plants affected by caterpillar and/or borer damage.
Biology & Life Cycle: Trichogramma wasps lay their eggs inside the pest eggs, stopping development. The larvae feed on the egg and then emerge as adults. The larvae take 10 days to develop within the pest moth egg, which turns brown or black as the larvae pupate. The adult wasps live anywhere from 7 to 14 days, depending on temperature and moisture and the female Trichogramma will parasitize up to 300 pest moth eggs.

Controlled Release
Controlled Release design offers intervals of Trichogramma releases to provide ongoing control with a single application. Over 2 weeks, Trichogramma spp. will emerge from the dispensers or capsules and search for eggs to parasitize within the crop. Choose method based on your application preferences.

Release Instructions
Dispensers: Within crop area, gently snap each dispenser along lines to reveal release holes. Do NOT CUT DISPENSERS. Hang on the underside of the canopy or side of the plant protected from the sun. Trichogramma will release over 2 weeks. Do not remove before hatching/release is complete.
Capsules: Apply immediately to the crop area! Capsules can be disperced on the soil or hung within canopy using Release Boxes. For mechanical application, follow your equipment guidelines for handing and dispersal.
Release Rates
General application rates range from 2.5-4 wasps per square foot, or approximately 100,000 wasps per acre.
