Tank's House Plant Potting Mix

This all-round terrific potting mix has been designed to be the optimal soil for indoor plants. It has high quality, long-lasting ingredients full of natural nutrients that keep your plants thriving. But it also addresses the number one issue people have with houseplants - watering. Indoor plants tend to be over-watered or under-watered, but this mix contains ingredients to minimize those problems. The Coco-Chip and Pumice provide splendid aeration and draining to stave off overwatering and Coco-Chip and Biochar deals with under-watering by holding onto moisture without suffocating roots.

• Tank's Green Stuff Organic Compost - OMRI listed compost made from locally sourced plant materials (that would otherwise be sent to the landfill), organic manure, organic elemental sulfur and beneficial microbes.
• Prococo CocoChip - Made from the natural byproducts of coconut cultivation (crushed coconut husks), this premium coconut coir has a low salt content, is renewable and sustainable, resistant to mold and mildew, easy to hydrate, and free of bacterial and fungal spores.
• Tank's Organic SuperMix - OMRI listed fertilizer that contains a unique blend of vital nutrients, beneficial bacteria, mycorrhizae, humic acid, enzymes, and minerals derived from Tank's Green Stuff Organic Compost, composted chicken manure, worm castings, gypsum, biochar, soymeal, leonardite, calcium, humic acid, kelp meal, bat guano, blood meal, feather meal, a proprietary microbial blend, zoolite and over 60 trace minerals.
• Pumice - This lightweight volcanic rock has long been used as a soil amendment to improve the quality of soil by reducing compaction, while improving drainage and aeration.
• Biochar - Biochar is the product of biomass (a variety of plant materials like hardwoods, grasses, agricultural and forestry residues) that has been heated in a low-oxygen process known as pyrolysis. Through the pyrolysis process, the physical and chemical properties of the plant material is transformed into the charcoal-like, porous and carbon-rich product called biochar. Biochar increases soil carbon, improves water retention, boosts nutrient content and improves the quantity and quality of beneficial microbial life.
