An OMRI listed and EPA registered preventative fungicide - RootShield Plus WP contains two species of beneficial fungi that deliver an extended range of disease control. The two species are:

Apply RootShield Plus WP directly to seeds, transplants or other propagation materials including soil and planting mixes. The unique fungal blend in RootShield Plus WP provides 3 months of preventive control for Phytophthora, Rhizoctonia, Pythium, Fusarium, Thielaviopsis, and Cylindrocladium. Trichoderma helps prevent and control soil-born fungal diseases by colonizing plant root systems and boosting biological diversity in the root zone.

RootShield Plus WP grows onto plant roots, "shielding" plants from soil-borne diseases. This forms a physical barrier preventing root damage, while the fungi in RootShield Plus WP release enzymes that damage fungal pathogens. RootShield Plus is also available in a granular formulation.

PHI: 0-day pre-harvest interval for all listed crops.

Suggested Uses: For prevention and control of major fungal pathogens and resultant diseases on greenhouse and nursery vegetables, herbs, ornamentals, fruits, conifer tree seedlings, various trees, legumes, oil seeds and peanuts. Use at the time of planting or early in the growing season for best results. One application provides up to three months of control. RootShield Plus WP is for use in soil applications (soil drench, in-furrow spray, and chemigation), seed treatments, and cutting or bare-rooted transplant dips on food crops, ornamentals, landscape plants, and ornamental trees, including tree seedlings for transplanting into the forest. Refer to the RootShield Plus WP product label for application rates by crop type. RootShield Plus WP should be applied via ground applications only.


Storage: Store in original container. RootShield Plus WP can be refrigerated or frozen to extend shelf life.

Howler and RootShield biofungicides

Delivered expeditiously and well packaged. These products most likely do seem to work and protect Cymbidium orchids against our endemic Fusarium and Rhizoctonia species. I am following a yearly rotation of using these agents; one year will use Howler and the next year RootShield and then the next year Hower, etc. I believe these products are far safer and far less dangerous than the systemic fungicides such as Heritage or Empress or others.

Order shipped out quickly and arrived in just a few short days. We purchased Rootshield Plus for a turf application on an established hybrid bermuda lawn. We have an older sub soil at a historic site. At different times of the year, saturated soils, poor air flow, and compaction can be an issue. Due to usage, access, and cost, reconstruction of the area for drainage would be difficult. Thus, we often struggle with Pythium root. We regularly treat with fungicides along with aerification/top dressings but we didn't always see the type of recovery or new growth desired. We have been using Rootshield for six weeks now and can defiantly see a difference. Now I feel like the grass is doing what it's supposed to. I love this product because it's organic and it gives us a more cost effective plan. We were always trying to prevent a disease or cure it and so much of our success depends on what happens below the surface. With Rootshield, it helps fight off the disease in between applications, protects the roots allowing them to take up nutrients, and is compatible to what we are already using. So we can just add it in!

If you have any problems with fusarium, blight, wilt etc., esp. with tomatoes & peppers, this item is essential for long term survival and crop production. Combine it with a few active strains of mycorrhiza and no problemo!

I have high hopes for RootShield Plus. We'll see in the coming months and years if it staves off Phytophthora on two Heritage Live Oaks.
