Keeps Mosquitoes Away From Yards, Parks and Grassy Areas!

Mosquito Barrier is an aromatic liquid garlic mosquito repellent used for outdoor mosquito control. Once applied, the garlic odor dissipates within minutes but continues to repel mosquitoes, ticks, gnats and fleas. It is designed to be broadcast sprayed and can be used as a natural mosquito killer if applied directly to breeding sites and adult mosquitoes.

Mode of Action: Many insects, including mosquitoes, do not like the sulfur content in garlic extracts. The scent provides extended repellent action while the oil base suffocates and kills mosquitoes when contacted. This dual action allows Mosquito Barrier to serve as a naturally sourced alternative to chemical-based mosquito pesticides.

Application Rates: Applications last up to 4 weeks.

  • Residential: (1/2 acre) 8-16 teaspoons (roughly 2.5 - 5 oz.) of Mosquito Barrier & 2 gallons of water
  • Medium Sized Areas (up to 1.25 acres): 1 quart Mosquito Barrier & 20 gal. of water.
  • Large Areas (up to 5 acres): 1 gallon Mosquito Barrier & 98 gallons of water.
Additional Information: Mosquitoes Can Breed in a Bottle Cap of Water

Suggested Uses: Uses as a broadcast repellent spray and contact killer for mosquitoes and other pest insects. Not for use indoors or for direct application to animals or humans.

Saturate all plants in the treatment area including grass, vegetables and trees. If puddles or standing water are present, apply mosquito barrier directly to them to kill developing mosquito larvae. Mosquito Barrier can be applied as a barrier treatment or for complete control in the area. Avoid applying when rain is forecasted within 48 hours.

Warning & Toxicities: There are no poisons or harmful chemicals in Mosquito Barrier; however, dogs can be particularly sensitive to garlic sprays. Works well for mosquitoes and fungus gnats

Sprayed once 2wks ago and still keeping them both away. It smelled like garlic for about 4 days, fading early day, but just like it claimed, still working. I don't know if it is targeted for just those, but hoping doesn't affect any beneficials. I like using non toxic organics, but still keep mosquitoes away. I recommend this and will use again if necessary. Hope not.

We bought a quart of the mosquito repellent a few years ago. We mixed some in a spray bottle according to directions and spray around our ankles , wrists and backs when we go outside. We do the same for grandchildren and none of us have gotten a tick when we remembered to spray ourselves, even though we are hiking in the woods, or clearing brush, or playing on the lawn. People don't even notice the garlic smell. This stuff is great!!! I've just bought another quart.

I had so many mosquitoes last year. My kids and I were bit up minutes of being outside. Since using this I haven't had a mosquitoe bite me yet this year.

Last time I used this product, spraying well, it seemed to reduce the mosquito problem quite substantially. I sprayed where they would likely congregate and opportunistically come into the building, namely around the entry doors, and in places where mosquitoes might tend to hide, down low and damp, among and under junk, etc.

This mosquito barrier is safe, inexpensive, and effective. We have a problem with ticks, too. I haven't tested its effectiveness in repelling ticks, but it really works for mosquitoes. It has been raining here for several days, so I need to respray again after about 2 weeks. However, before the rain we were mosquito free.

I'm sorry to have to write this review but I think others should be aware that although this product is 99% garlic extract and supposedly safe around pets, some animals may not tolerate it. That's the case with two of my three dogs. We try very hard to use only natural methods of ridding our pets, house and lawn of fleas, ticks and mosquitoes. We used beneficial nematodes and then sprayed our backyard with this product. Within hours my first dog vomited and started having watery diarrhea which has lasted about a week. A day or so later, my second dog had the same symptoms. I'm still working to resolve the diarrhea. Called a pet poison hotline for help. They told me that some dogs do experience gastrointestinal distress with garlic sprays. So if your dog has a sensitive system, this spray may be harmful for them. Use caution in deciding if this is a good fit for your pet or not.

I will update some of the warnings and look for more information about pet safety with the Mosquito Barrier. Thank you for your inputs. Great Product in the Barn

I have used this product before but I could really see the benefits recently when the mosquitoes came out in force. We have had more rain than usual and when I went out one evening to check on the horses the mosquitoes were everywhere. I had fly sprayed the horses but my spray couldn't handle this maximum amount of mosquitoes. I quickly mixed up some mosquito barrier and sprayed the barn walls, and the ground around the stalls. Within a few minutes the mosquitoes had retreated and the horses looked much happier. Thank you Arbico :)

I live in Texas and the mosquitos this year have been horrible! My poor dogs are just getting swarmed. We have used the beneficial nematodes in the past for fleas and decided to give this product a try. I applied it this morning at 8:00 a.m. Just went outside - 2-1/2 hours later - and there's not a single mosquito or gnat anywhere on the lawn. Will definitely continue to use!!
