Backed by proven results, LALGUARD M52 OD is an effective pest management and pest control product sought after by growers in greenhouse environments. Formulated with spores derived from the fungus Metarhizium brunneum strain F52 (formerly known as Metarhizium anisopliae), this bioinsecticide promotes eradication of both foliar and soil pests while minimizing adverse effects on applicators, non-target organisms, and the environment.
Utilizing contact as a mode of action, LALGUARD M52 effectively combats the most damaging pests including whiteflies, thrips, mites, aphids and others commonly found in greenhouse environments.
Upon application, the spores of the active ingredient Metarhizium brunneum will come into contact with the targeted pests and adhere to their bodies. These spores will then germinate, penetrate the insect's cuticle, colonize it and ultimately lead to the pest's termination. This process typically results in the death of target pests within 3-7 days after application.
Key Features:
- Can be used with IPM strategies including beneficial insects.
- No known resistance risks.
- Can be applied as a foliar spray or incorporated into soil for added persistence.
- Soil incorporation, especially into potting media can increase the persistence of the fungal spores.
- Tolerance exempt
- 4-hour REI drench, dip and foliar applications
- 0-hour REI soil incorporated
- 0-day PHI

This Product Controls These Pests or Diseases: Targeted pests include Aphids, Mites, Thrips, Whiteflies, and various other greenhouse pests.
LALGUARD M52 OD application frequency is dependent on the target pests' life cycle and application environment. For best results, apply LALGUARD M52 OD at the early stages of pest development. Repeat applications at 5 to10 day intervals, matching application interval to insect and population. High insect populations of whiteflies may require 2 to 5 day intervals. Applications to leaf litter and turf may be done on a 4 to 6 week intervals with an expected residual efficacy of a few months.
Persistence of the fungal spores LALGUARD M52 OD will generally be higher:
- When incorporated into soil.
- With foliar applications in greenhouses versus foliar applications outdoors.
