Earth Harvest Gluten-8 Liquid Corn Meal is an easy to apply herbicide and nitrogen fertilizer that saves you the effort of lifting heavy bags of corn gluten meal. Derived from corn gluten meal, Gluten-8 is water-soluble and provides pre-emergent control of annual grasses and broad leaf weeds without the effort of applying the granular corn gluten (Sustane Spring Weed & Feed). One quart of Gluten-8 is equivalent to 6 pounds of bagged corn gluten meal.

Coverage Rate: One bottle covers up to 1,000 sq. ft. (total coverage = 2,000 sq. ft.).

Gluten-8 Pre-emergent Herbicide is also available in a gallon size. One gallon covers up to 4,000 square feet.

How To Use Gluten-8:

  1. Shake well before using.
  2. Remove or bend over shipping tab and attach to hose.
  3. Set to "ON" in order to mix Gluten-8 concentrate with water.
  4. Move quickly when spraying to wet the soil well, but avoid runoff.
  5. Gluten-8 should be applied once a month beginning once the soil temperature has reached 50°F.
Application Note: Do NOT use on grass that was recently seeded. Apply with confidence any time after the first mowing.

It Works with Consistent Use

We have been using corn gluten meal for over 15 years. It works better the longer you use it as your turf becomes stronger over time and that keeps the weeds out. You will have to spot treat a weed here and there, more so during the first couple of years as the grass root system is not complex enough to block all weeds. It just looks better year over year. And you have the assurance your lawn is growing only with organic fertilizers.

The Hose spray bottles empty fast. Buy more that it says it covers.Just put it down and ran out before I think I got good coverage.
