Using a particular strain of Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki, BT NOW provides broad spectrum control for a long list of Lepidoptera pests that feed on a wide variety of plants. This biopesticide works by introducing bacterial spores and toxins into the body of the insect larvae as it feeds on foliage. These toxins quickly disrupt, and soon completely stop, normal digestive functions of the pest insect. The infected larvae will cease eating within minutes and fully succumb to the effects of the BTK and die within 2-5 days.
BT NOW is most effective when applied during the active feeding stage of larval life. For best results, carefully monitor your crops to identify target pest infestations. Apply as soon as insects are found or when there are the first signs of feeding. Cover all foliage completely and repeat applications as needed to maintain control.

Use Instructions:
The following are general instructions. More complete crop-specific and pest-specific guidelines can be found in the manufacturers under the DOCS tab. Before application, it is recommended that you read and follow those detailed instructions.
BT now is a water-based formulation that can be applied undiluted or diluted with water. Dilution with minimal amounts of water will improve coverage. The amount of water needed for a diluted application will depend on crop size, weather, spray equipment and local experience.
Avoiding spray drift at the application site is the responsibility of the applicator and/or the treatment coordinator. Many factors, including weather conditions and equipment being used, need to be considered to determine the potential for spray drift.
Make applications early in the morning, in the evening, or during overcast conditions for best results. Make sure to apply the product when there is little or no wind. Do not make early morning application if foliage is wet with dew to the point of runoff. Do not make applications when significant rainfall is imminent. BT NOW is more effective when rain is not forecast within 24-48 hours following application. Dry weather will allow larvae to ingest a lethal amount of spray deposits.
MIXING
- Tank mix compatible with many commonly used pesticides, fertilizers and adjuvants.
- Add the specified amount of BT NOW to the required amount of water in the spray tank. Agitate as necessary to maintain suspension. DO NOT store spray mixture in spray equipment for more than 18 hours.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Do not apply through any kind of irrigation system.
- BT NOW must be ingested by susceptible larvae to be effective, so thorough coverage of target foliage where larvae are feeding is essential.
- Apply when larvae are small, newly hatched and actively feeding.
- Repeat applications, according to economic threshold, as necessary to maintain control.
- To improve wetting and distribution on difficult to wet foliage (e.g. crucifers), the addition of a wetting agent is recommended.
- After ingestion, larvae cease feeding within a few hours and death occurs in 2-5 days.
GROUND APPLICATION
Use specified amount of BT NOW (as determined by the chart that can be found on the manufacturer's label under the DOCS tab) in a minimum of 31.25 gallons of water per acre, depending on the type of equipment and crop. This minimum can be lower with ultra-low volume sprayers. Use diluted spray mixtures within an 18-hour period.
AERIAL APPLICATION
Please see manufacturer's label under the DOCS tab.
Not for use on turf being grown for sale or other commercial uses, or for commercial seed production, or for research purposes.
Storage: Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal. Store in the original container between 39°F - 68°F to ensure microbial purity and potency. Store container upright and keep it tightly closed when not in use. After extended storage, shake or stir contents to assure a uniform suspension.
Warning & Toxicities: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS. Harmful if absorbed through skin. Causes moderate eye irritation. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Environmental Hazards:
For terrestrial uses, except when applying aerially over the forest canopy: Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwater or rinsate.
