DTE Bio-Fish, 7-7-2 is an all-purpose, nutrient-packed fertilizer designed for use on outdoor plants. This organic fertilizer blend, derived from fish bone/fish meal, feather meal, sulfate of potash, alfalfa meal and kelp meal, is an excellent source of nitrogen and phosphorus. Use this dry product throughout the growing season and you will be rewarded with dynamic growth, copious vegetables, abundant fruit, and resplendent blooms. Application Rates:
2½ cups ≈ 1 lb., ½ cup ≈ 3.2 oz., 2½ tbsp. ≈ 1 oz.
Vegetable Gardens:
To prepare new gardens, apply 5 lbs. per 100 square feet and thoroughly mix into the top 3" of garden soil.
For new transplants, add ¼ cup per hole, mix into soil and water in well.
To feed established plants, side dress ¼ -½ cup per plant, depending on plant size and desired growth rate, twice a month during the growing season. Outdoor Containers:
For new plantings, add 2 tbsp. per gallon of soil and mix thoroughly OR add 5-10 lbs. per cubic yard.
For established plants, lightly mix 1-2 tbsp. per gallon into the soil surface twice each month during the growing season. Trees, Shrubs & Vines:
Spread 1 lb. per 2" of trunk diameter around the base outwards to the drip line, mix into soil surface and water in well.
For new trees, prepare transplant hole and mix 1-2 cups with the backfill soil. Use the amended soil to fill in around the new tree and water in well.
