Biodegradable Fire Ant Control

Orange Guard Fire Ant Control will eradicate fire ants without risking the health of your family, pets or the environment. It is EPA registered, OMRI listed and on the FDA GRAS (generally recognized as safe) list. This water based contact insecticide and repellent can be applied full strength or diluted 1:3 for increased coverage.

Mode of Action: It works by dissolving the waxy coating on the ant's (or other pest's) exoskeleton, which clogs the spiracles (how they breathe), and they suffocate. The active ingredient, d-limonene, is a monoterpene used by plants to keep pests away.

This Product Controls These Pests or Diseases: Ants (Mult), Fire Ant (Solenopsis invicta)

Fire Ant Mounds: Puncture the mounds and then saturate them, using 1/2 gallon of either full strength or diluted solution (3 parts of water to 1 part Orange Guard Fire Ant Control). Dilution does not harm grass and covers approximately 8 mounds.

Perimeter Treatment: Use at full strength, saturating the ground around the area you wish to protect from fire ants. NOTE: Orange Guard Fire Ant Control will damage grass at full strength.

Fire Ant Control

We have a big problem with fire ants on our Lavender Farm. Fire ants love to nest in the root system and in wet whether up in the dense foliage thus killing the plant. We used orange oil affectively but it is acidic and kills the lavender plant which thrives in the opposite PH spectrum. Another farmer suggested we use Come And Get It. Fantastic so far! Pick the right weapon.

The Orange Oil for fire ants is the second product we have purchased from Arbico Organics. We followed the directions very specifically and had wonderful results with killing several large fire ant mounds that came up after the last big rain. Fire Ants are a threat to our chicken livestock. We enjoy working with this company and appreciate their great service. Our farm highly recommends Arbico Organics!

I can confirm this works! We've always had an issue with fire ants. Not much was working very well and we were trying to keep things save for plants and pets. I found this and tried it last weekend. The two piles I poured it on are dead. Maybe the ants relocated but previous times of soaking an ant bed with water did nothing more than make them angry and grow a larger pile so it's nice to see dead piles now.

Since moving to South Carolina I've been looking for a source for organic gardening products. When I lived in TX, I was a fan of the Dirt Doctor and he had spoken about Arbico. The Orange Guard works great. I'll be coming back for additional products.
