Pest Control - Succulents

Pests are unavoidable when it comes to growing succulents. While their tough, leathery exteriors may hint at impermeability, succulents are susceptible to a number or pests including scale (i.e. Cochineal scale), mealybugs, aphids, and mites. Like with any other crop, the best way to manage these pests is by using integrated pest management techniques for prevention and treatment. Consider hanging traps for target pests. Use knockdown sprays when needed to reduce pest populations. Introduce beneficial insects to do some of the labor of seeking out pests for you.
