If you drink milk, juice or water out of plastic gallon jugs and you have flies bothering you, this clever trap provides a way to marry the two. Rinse out the jug, fill it with water and attractant, pop on the escape-proof plastic top and you are in the fly trap business.
- These traps are reusable, so you can either take the trap off and dispose of the milk jug when it is full or rinse it out and start over.
- This product is only effective on filth breeding flies, not for use against biting flies.
- Not for indoor use for two reasons: the attractant is quite smelly and it's utterly irresistible to flies. Since you are trying to rid yourself of flies, it's best to put this trap away from where you spend most of your time.

This Product Controls These Pests or Diseases: Attracts filth-breeding flies, including house flies (Musca domestica), blow flies (Calliphoridae spp.), flesh flies (Sarcophagidae spp.), blue bottle flies (Calliphora vomitoria), green bottle flies (Lucilia sericata), dump flies (Hydrotaea) and dung flies (Scathophagidae).
- Bait and use trap outdoors.
- Remove trapping heads and fly attractant packets from carton.
- Rinse out a standard one-gallon plastic milk/water/juice jug of the type shown on the top of the carton. Use only transparent type jugs, not opaque or colored jugs.
- Tear open packet containing fly attractant.
- Place water-soluble attractant pouch into empty jug trap. Do not open the inside pouch, it will dissolve in water. Add one-half gallon of clean water to activate the attractant.
- Slide cylinder part of trap head into mouth of jug.
- Agitate lightly to disperse attractant.
- Hang trap outside from handle or place trap on ground in a sunlit area of high fly concentration when flies are active and where odors will not be a problem. For best results, place trap within four feet of the ground. In hot weather (above 90°F/32°C), place trap in shade for better results. In cooler weather, place trap in sun.
- Agitate trap contents occasionally to thoroughly wet trapped flies. Add water to the trap as necessary to maintain the fluid level. Rebait trap when full of flies, or when trap contents dry out.
- Wash hands with soap and water after handling.
- Trap may be rinsed and refilled with replacement Starbar® Fly Trap Attractant.
NOTE: Not for indoor use or for use against biting flies. Contents may give off bad odor; keep contents from coming in contact with hands or clothing.
