This unique biodynamic soil amendment boosts humus formation in the topsoil by stimulating beneficial bacteria growth. When applied to farms and gardens, Pfeiffer Biodynamic Field & Garden Spray stimulates and attracts micro-flora and fauna to revitalize dead or depleted soils. This potent formulation contains the biodynamic agricultural preparations BF #500, #502, #503, #504, #505, #506 and #507, making it uniquely effective.

The increase in bacterial activity accelerates the breakdown of organic matter in the soil, leading to a corresponding increase in humus compounds. When properly activated, one ounce of Biodynamic Field & Garden Spray will yield more than 5.6 billion CFU's of beneficial organisms. For best results, wait two weeks after application to sow seeds or transplant. It can also be used as a seed bath or foliar spray.

Coverage Rate: One unit of Biodynamic Field & Garden Spray treats up to one acre of land. One level teaspoon will cover up to 1,000 sq. ft. and 1 level tablespoon will cover up to 3,000 sq. ft.

Mixing & Application Instructions:

Moisten the Field & Garden Spray in a flat pan or dish. Add enough water for the powder to become moist and pasty.
Allow the paste to activate for approximately 12-16 hours overnight.
Dilute with enough water to cover application area and apply within 48 hours of activation. Mix rates will vary based on how much water it takes to cover the given area.
Apply directly to the soil or cover crops for most applications. Foliar sprays may reduce coverage rates.

I was very surprised to find this. Having read about Steiner's Biodynamic fertilizer solutions, I very much wanted to try them, but for our small property it seemed unlikely. (It requires getting the nettle etc, putting it in cow horns and other animal parts, burying them for a season, with very specific guidelines). So, in this case someone did all that work already. Granted it wasn't from products on our land, which would probably be most ideal, but I still think it will be worth it. We have a little over an acre. We prepped and put this whole little package in our irrigation tanks and ran it through all the zones. It is not bare soil. It has been weeks and all of the plants are fine. I think some of the struggling grassy areas are filling in better. We'll have to give it some time and check the earth for humus production. Some areas were just 'dirt' so we'll be able to see if it works given time.

This was my first time using a biodynamic preperation for my farm and I was very pleasantly pleased with the products, how they were instructed to be used, and with the entire ordering process.
