Melissa Oil, also known as Lemon Balm oil, is a pale-yellow liquid with a light lemony aroma. Melissa Oil contains terpenes, which have been shown to attract insect pests like thrips and fungus gnats. Melissa Oil also attracts biting insects like horse flies and deer flies. Adding this oil to your sticky traps – the Yellow Stiky Tape, ARBICO Organics® Blue Insect Traps, or the ARBICO Organics® Yellow Insect Traps – will attract these unwanted pests and capture them.
To use this oil on a trap, simply place a drop or two on your trap every 2-3 days. Each bottle contains 300 drops; a bottle should last a season for an insect-a-peel.
Note: It is not recommended to use Melissa oil on skin without dilution. Recommended dilution rate for skin is 9 drops per ounce of oil, or 1%.
