Prevent Birds Eating Corn Seedlings

We've had increasing problems with birds eating corn seedlings. We strung a length of this over each row of flint corn we seeded, 8-10" above the ground, and the corn plants are all up growing well. Have not lost one. Don't look at this when it is moving in a breeze....it may be seizure inducing! This is tougher than the holographic tape also sold by Arbico. I am buying more for future sweet and popcorn plantings.
