Recommended Rates
New Plants:
- Potted Plants: Mix 2 tbsp./gallon of potting mix in container, place plant then water well.
- In-Ground, Trees, Shrubs, and Ornamentals: Mix 4 tbsp. into the top 3-6 inches of the soil and water thoroughly.
- Raised Bed: Apply 1 ¼ cups/10 sq. ft. of growing area. Mix into the top 3-6 inches of the soil and water thoroughly.
For Established Plants:
- Potted Plants: Sprinkle evenly on soil surface and mix into the top layer of soil without touching plant stem and water thoroughly.
- In-Ground, Trees, Shrubs, and Ornamentals: Mix 6 tbsp. into the top 3 inches of soil and water thoroughly. (Note: 3 lb. bag covers about 30 sq. feet.)
- Raised Bed: Spread 2 ½ cups/10 sq. ft. of the growing area and mix into the top 3 inches of soil around the plants. Water thoroughly.
