Description

Re-Energize & Re-Mineralize Your Soil To Optimize Yields!

Since the dawn of time, volcanic eruptions and sedimentation have naturally re-mineralized the soils of the earth. With the end of rampant volcanic eruptions and the millions of years of life since then, these minerals have been significantly depleted – affecting the health of the soil and the plants that grow in it.

Andesite Mineral Complex returns the essential minerals and trace elements from volcanic rock dust to your soil in a slow, natural release. Its broad spectrum of mineral content improves plant production and nutrient/water uptake while reducing the effects of environmental stress factors (drought, pests, diseases, etc.) on plant health. Andesite helps guide your plants to optimal health, leaving you with a more "fruitful" and nutritious harvest.

Benefits of Andesite:

  • Meets USDA and National Organic Program (NOP) standards for certified organic production.
  • Assists Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) in soils.
  • Helps balance soil pH levels.
  • Helps brix (sugar content) and nutrient levels in plants.
  • Encourages earthworm and beneficial microbial activity.
  • Can be applied at any time throughout the year or at any point in the growing cycle.
  • Works with other natural inputs.
  • Can be used with soil, inert growing media, hydroponics, aquaponics and in compost tea brews.
  • Its approximate mesh size averages 80-100 and will not interfere with most hydroponic/irrigation systems.
Naturally sourced with no chemical or synthetic additives, Andesite works well both indoors and outdoors in traditional or organic growing and production facilities. Andesite also has paramagnetic qualities; it has been certified to contain paramagnetic levels over 8,000+cgs. This paramagnetic pulse helps the soil find equilibrium while stimulating its microbial world to free up more nutrients for the plants to absorb. This results in rejuvinated soil that is vibrating with life.

Additional Information:

  • Have You Ever Heard Of Paramagnetic Rock? How About Andesite?

Suggested Uses:

Can be used in growing of all indoor and outdoor fruits, vegetables, flowers, trees, shrubs and lawns. Can also be used in compost (and to make a compost tea), in vermicomposting, aquaponics, hydroponics and in dairy and livestock production.

Instructions

Andesite Mineral Complex can be applied any time throughout the year or growing cycle. Andesite cannot be over-applied and will not harm or burn plants or vegetation.

Recommended Applications:

  • Seed Starts - Mix 1/8 cup Andesite per gallon of seed start planting mix.
  • Transplants - Apply 1-2 teaspoons Andesite per 4 inches of pot width/diameter of plant to be transplanted directly to the base of hole prior to transplanting edibles, flowers, trees, shrubs or other plants.
  • Edible Gardens & Raised Beds - Apply 25 - 40lbs Andesite per 1000 sq. ft. Work into top 1-2 inches of soil pre/post season or top dress around established plants.
  • Decorative Gardens, Lawns, Turfs & Sod - Apply 25 - 30lbs Andesite per 1000 sq. ft. to lawns and decorative garden beds. If aerating, apply immediately after aeration or prior to laying new sod.
  • Houseplants - Top dress 1-2 teaspoons Andesite per 4 inches of pot width/diameter. Gently work into top ½ - 1 inch of soil.
  • Fruit Trees - Top dress area between trunk and drip line of tree crown at a rate of 1lb Andesite per inch of tree trunk caliper.
  • Topsoil Blending - Mix 30-40lbs Andesite per cubic yard of soil.
  • Compost - Add 1-2 tablespoons of Andesite per gallon of compost.
  • Compost Tea - Blend1-2 tablespoons Andesite with compost mixture prior to brewing per 5 gallon brew of compost tea.
  • Vermicomposting - Mix 1-2 tablespoons of Andesite per gallon of bedding material and/or finished castings.
  • Aquaponics - Andesite can be combined with other growing media (soil-based or inert) in floating raft systems, ebb and drain systems and others. Andesite will not harm fish or other aquatic life.
  • Hydroponics - Andesite can be combined with other growing media in a variety of applications.
  • Grass-Fed Beef, Dairy and Other Livestock - Apply 250-500lbs Andesite per acre.

Environment: Indoors, outdoors, fruits, vegetables, flowers, trees, shrubs, turfs, lawns, row crops, orchards, vineyards, greenhouse, nursery, grow room, compost & vermicomposting, houseplants, bedding plants, medicinal plants, green roofs, living walls, equestrian, cattle, dairy and other grass-fed animal pastures, aquaponics & hydroponics systems.

Very Satisfied
Jan 10, 2022  |  By Eli
My order arrived quickly and was packaged very well. Purchased it for my garden beds. Had a little extra so I added some to my indoor plants too. I am very satisfied with the results and will be purchasing more.

Highly Recommended
Jul 27, 2020  |  By Angelo
I thought I had my garden soil pretty dialed in with solid production year after year. A neighbor of mine who also gardens told me about the value of micronutrients, that most soils lack them these days and the success he has had after adding them. I had been focused on quality compost, castings and some organic NPK inputs - but was not aware of just how important other minerals were. He said he had been using Andesite for the last few seasons and was very happy with the results so I figured I would give it a try. I bought a 40lb box added it to 2 of my 4 garden beds so I could compare it to the others. Everything, and I mean everything, in the beds with the Andesite took off!!! My plants grew to the point where they were competing for space with other plants and had to be pruned back. This had never happened before. I had to double up most of the tomato stakes to hold them up too. I am actually going to have to reconfigure my planting layout next year to compensate for the additional growth so the smaller plants receive sufficient sunlight - so keep that in mind if you are trying it for the first time. I would highly recommend Andesite.

Great organic micro-nutrient for your garden
May 28, 2020  |  By Eric A.
I only use organic gardening products and was looking for a slow release micro-nutrient supplement. I use Andesite in conjunction with biochar and compost tea to amend the soil and boost my plants. I also started adding some to my compost tea bags for brews to help further stimulate the bioactivity. I have used this for two seasons now and can honestly say that this volcanic mineral amendment has worked wonders in my garden.

5 Stars!
May 12, 2020  |  By Lee W.
Product shipped quickly and was very well packaged. Definitely saw a positive improvement in my plants. Arbico has some excellent products and this is another one of them!

I LOVE this stuff!
Apr 21, 2020  |  By Diana
I read several articles on the importance of having trace minerals in the soil and how they can help plants achieve their potential. After researching several products I arrived at Andesite Mineral Complex and decided to give it a try. I added to my garden last spring by sprinkling it over the empty beds. I also added a little bit to the base of the hole when I transplanted my starters into the beds based on the recommendations I received in the box which were very helpful. I have been gardening in the same beds for years so I had a very good idea on how the plants produced each season as a benchmark and last season was easily the best in terms of production. I ended up giving a lot of it away to friends and family who welcomed it with open arms due of the volume my beds produced. Who wouldn't want homegrown organic produce - right????? I also noticed that my garden beds kept on producing longer into the fall even after the weather started turning which had not occurred in past seasons (I am in zone 6 but seems more like zone 5 with the weather fluctuations lately). I order more for this year and have already spread it on my beds for this season and cannot wait to get the plants into the ground! I love this stuff and my plants do too!

Great product
Mar 23, 2020  |  By William
Great product. My garden beds look the best they ever have. Added some Andesite to my seed start mix this year too and my plants are off to a great start with vigorous growth and excellent root development.

Excellent soil amendment
Mar 5, 2020  |  By Tim R.
Shipment arrived fast and product was packaged well. A thorough list of application rates was also included in the box which was helpful. Plants responded in a positive way to the addition of the Andesite Minerals in the soil. Very satisfied with the results.

Jan 29, 2020  |  By Kathryn
We moved into a new house about a year and a half ago and most of the landscaping had been severely neglected - and I mean severely. The soil in the garden beds was hard and earthworms were few and far between. I added andesite along with some good compost that was produced locally all over the garden beds and then topped it with mulch. I did a heavy application because my beds were in such bad shape. Within the first month new growth began to appear on plants I thought would definitely have to be replaced and things kept on improving from there in a major way. I gave it another treatment the following season with andesite and compost again and my garden beds look GREAT! I also added a few new plants this year and the soil was WAY easier to dig and the earthworms were everywhere! This stuff works wonders!

Andesite Mineral

Cannot say enough about this product. My soil test showed I have a problem with CEC and some micronutrients. I just started adding this to transplants as they go in the ground and I have noted an amazing difference. Cabbage transplants tripled in size. After a lot of rain I noted purpling of broccoli leaves on month old transplants and I side dressed with this product and I had an immediate return to deep green colors within 1-2 weeks. Lettuce transplants have showed immediate improvement. I am very pleased.

Andesite saved my plants
Dec 3, 2019  |  By Margaret S.
We had contractors doing work around the exterior of our home for over a month and several of my plants were damaged in the process to the point where I thought there was almost no chance they would make it. I was already using Andesite in my raised beds (edibles) with excellent results and had some extra so I figured I would give it a shot as I had nothing to lose. I cut back the dead and severely damaged sections on the plants and then spread Andesite around the base of each plant along with some finished compost from my pile and kept and eye on them. I saw some new growth in the first month that continued throughout the first season. By the end of the following season they not only bounced back - but are thriving with more flowers and new growth that I ever saw in the past! I can't believe I never thought to try the Andesite on the decorative garden beds around the house but am so glad I did. As a gardener, I feel it is much more satisfying to bring a damaged or sick plant back to health rather than just remove and replace it - and Andesite helped me do just that.

I'm Impressed With Abico Organics

I love houseplants, and have been trained by City College of San Francisco in Horticultural Ecology. I applied Arbico's product 'Andesite Mineral complex' to my 'Shefflera Amate' under led grow lights. I have to say 'I'm really impressed with this product, and certainly my 'Shefflera amate' is letting me know every day that it is also happy...the results is subtle, but noticeable over time, suddenly you realize that your favorite houseplant looks very different in a healthy way.

Great amendment to my soil

Andesite is a great source of trace minerals for my soil and my plants respond accordingly with excellent growth, health and blooms. This is a "must have" amendment whether you are a novice gardener or a pro!

Awesome product!!!

Tried some Andesite this year in my vegetable garden and WOW did I notice a difference. My plants did better than in past seasons (BIG TIME) and produced more across the board. I actually needed larger stakes to prop up my tomato plants because of the size of the plants and amount of tomatoes they were producing. I had a some extra Andesite and added it to my houseplants. I have an Aloe Vera plant that I have had for years and this year it actually sprouted TWO new shoots in the pot a few months after adding the Andesite (the plant never had any new shoots develop before that so needless to say I was surprised). I carefully transferred those to their own container and they are thriving! I am a fan of Andesite Mineral Complex for sure!!!

Very impressed with the results

I heard about the value of minerals and decided to try Andesite Mineral Complex in my greenhouse this season. I applied it as a top dress to 500 flats and compared them to a control group. The differences were evident early on. The flats treated with Andesite were larger, better established and had considerably more root mass. This trend continued on throughout the growing cycle and by the time the plants were ready for the sales floor they looked far better than the control group. They had more blooms, foliage and deeper hues. The difference must have been apparent to our customers as well because the flats with Andesite sold first (we marked them with a unique sku to track them). I plan on applying it to a larger segment of our regular production in the next cycle and then rolling it out from there. Also, we confirmed that the Andesite cannot be over-applied (as stated in the product literature) as we tried different quantities in the test flats to find the best ratio and did not experience any negative effects. I am glad I tried Andesite Mineral Complex would recommend this product without hesitation.

Andesite is PHENOMENAL !
May 9, 2019  |  By Jake
Worked the Andesite into the soil/compost around my plants (love Arbico Compost too!) The results were miraculous ! Now the Andesite is mixed right into all my potting media along with the Arbico Compost, and also put a rather thick layer in the bottom of my watering can so the plants get a little extra every time they are watered. My starter tomato plants just "took off" and are jumping out of the pots. Very rich green healthy thick leaves, and strong stems. They had to be pruned back because they are getting too big for the pots. They look like little bushes now. You will be amazed too.
