Target pests: Grasshoppers and Mormon Crickets

A spreadable bait made from flaky wheat bran coated with Nosema locustae spores.  This very easy to apply pathogen is safe for use around humans, pet, birds and wildlife.  The insect pathogen multiplies in infected grasshoppers and will pass from grasshopper to grasshopper and can remain active for several years.  For best results apply when grasshoppers are ½ to ¾ inch long.

Shelf life: 13 weeks from formulation.

Application Technique: Apply by hand, by shaker can or spreader to lawn or garden area. Include a buffer zone around area to be treated. For crop and rangeland apply with seed spreader, turbine spreader or airplane.

Application Rate: 5 teaspoons per 100 sq. ft. Minimum of 1.0 lb/acre

Why Restrictions? All products labeled as pesticides, whether the product is natural, organic or man-made, are regulated by each state. Restrictions for sale in a state occur because the manufacturer of the product chooses not to register that product there. If the product is not a pesticide, there may be other regulations that the vendor cannot easily meet having to do with labeling.

The reason for non-registration is usually economic: each state requires a fee that is paid annually, or the cost of re-labeling for just one or a few states is too high. For instance, each pesticide registered for sale in Arizona is assessed a $100 fee yearly for each size product.

I was getting destroyed by grasshoppers. They had eaten half my garden and were moving on to the other half when I put NOLO Bait out, and within days they were almost all gone. My garden has made a comeback and I feel it would have been compleatly eaten if not for this product!!

I used this in my garden for the HUGE grasshopper infestation we have here in late summer. IF I sprinkle it regularly and VERY early it works great in doing what it says but you must be consistent. It doesn't take much but it does need to be done regularly.

So far....doing good. I have had it with these terrible grasshoppers killing my gardens. This year I spread Nolo over my 2.5 acres and have seen a tremondous drop in grasshoppers. I feel, I need to give it another month to really know the extent of coverage I hope for.
