This long-day variety bulb onion has white-to-light brown skin and an exceptionally sweet white flesh. These onions can be started early (as soon as the soil can be worked) or sown in the fall and allowed to overwinter. The spring sown bulbs will be smaller (about 2.5-3") than the overwintered ones (a hefty 5-6"), but both will retain their native sweetness. Extraordinary when sliced for sandwiches or hamburgers, but good for cooking as well. They will only keep for about a month, so enjoy them as soon as you can after harvest. Certified organic.
