OMRI listed SaniDate WTO is the most concentrated Peroxyacetic Acid bactericidal and algaecidal product on the market. It is excellent for use in irrigation systems and irrigation water. Since this product is so highly concentrated, you can be sure that you will get an economical dilution rate. This product has a multi-pronged approach; it will suppress and control as well as eliminate and kill water borne and slime-forming bacterial and fungal pathogens. When used as directed, this great alternative to chlorine treatments will cause a chemical reaction (with no off-gas) that will liquefy organic deposits and buildup in lines without damaging aluminum pipe, booster pumps and impellers. SaniDate WTO can be used prior to planting, during crop production and up to day of harvest.

SaniDate WTO can be injected on the pressure side of any sprinkler or drip irrigation system including center pivot , lateral move, end tow, side (wheel) row, traveler, big gun, solid set, hand move, flood (basin), furrow, border or drip (trickle) irrigation systems. When applying in open environments, there is no restriction to entry. In closed environments, such as greenhouses and glasshouses, there is a 1 hour restricted re-entry time when applied via fogging or spraying. SaniDate WTO will readily mix with water and does not require agitation. It works best with water that has a neutral pH and that contains minimal levels of organic and inorganic materials. Can be used:
- As a treatment of agricultural irrigation water used for fruit and vegetable crops.
- As a treatment of agricultural irrigation systems.
- As a shock treatment for irrigation wells.
- In chemigation systems.
- In the water that's used for washing that contacts fresh-cut or further processed fruit and vegetables that are not raw agricultural commodities.
Application Rate:
Crop Irrigation Water:
- Apply the product at a rate of 5.8-46.5 per 1,000 gallons of water (1:22,000-1:2,750).
- This amount will provide 2.7-21 ppm of peroxyacetic acid.
- A water test is recommended to determine the proper rate of product.
- For best results, continuous injection in the water is recommended every time crop is irrigated or at a minimum in the last 2-3 irrigations prior to harvest.
Treatment of Irrigation Water:
- Fill irrigation lines with 0.4-2.0 gallons of SaniDate WTO per 1,000 gallons of water (1:500-1:2,500).
- This amount will provide 20-100 ppm of peroxyacetic acid. Allow a contact time of 6-12 hours or overnight.
- Then, open ends of irrigation lines and flush with irrigation water.
- A second shock treatment may be necessary, a water analysis is recommended to determine this.
Shock Treatment for Irrigation Wells:
- Shock well water with a solution of 1.25-2.5 gallons of SaniDate WTO per 100 cubic feet of water (1:300-1:600).
- This will provide 100-200 of peroxyacetic acid.
- Allow a contact time of 48-72 hours.
- Purge the well to remove any organic material and pump until water is clear.
- Test strip can be used to ensure peroxyacetic acid concentration is less than 50 ppm in the water before using for irrigation.
Chemigation: Please see label for complete instructions.
Fruit and Vegetable Washing:
- Add to water at a rate of no more than 1 oz. per 16 gallons of water (80 ppm of peroxyacetic acid).
