Rootshield Home & Garden is an OMRI Listed product that will protect your plants from root disease pathogens and allow them to flourish. The active ingredient in this biological fungicide is Trichoderma harzianum, strain T-22, a beneficial fungus. This organism has been thoroughly tested for over 18 years by various universities and is now ready to work for you. It will protect your plants' roots from soil-borne diseases, which allows them to put their energy into growing and blossoming.
Trichoderma harzianum, strain T-22, attaches itself to the root to form a natural barrier, keeping out disease pathogens that otherwise would be eagerly feeding on the tender roots. It fights off these pathogens with a 1-2 punch: It displaces the pathogens by utilizing the space that they would normally occupy on the root and then feeds on the material produced by the root - the same matter that the pathogens would use as its food source. With nowhere to live and nothing to eat, these unwanted disease carriers will move on.
With the absence of disease and the secondary infections caused by disease, your plants will experience faster root development and a greater ability to spread out into the soil. This increased root mass allows for greater moisture and nutrient uptake and, ultimately, bigger, healthier and more beautiful plants. Simply apply every 3 months and your plants will do the rest.
