Alfalfa is a nitrogen-fixing cover crop with good yields, fast regrowth, superior winter hardiness and medium fall dormancy. Makes excellent forage when combined with any grass and grows well in a wide variety of soils. This is a perennial seed that can be used in areas that are to be left fallow for extended periods.
The alfalfa can be cut several times during the summer months - it is an excellent addition to compost piles!
