How a Pheromone Lure Works: NoMate CM Spirals are made of flexible PVC and filled with codling moth pheromone. When exposed to air in the orchard, the pheromones are volatilized and overwhelm the pheromones produced by the female codling moth rendering the male moth powerless to locate the female. This breaks the reproductive cycle of the moths.
