Monterey Neem Oil is an organic liquid pest control spray derived from the seeds of the Azadirachta indica (Indian Neem Tree), which is native to India and other parts of Southeast Asia. Neem has been prized for thousands of years as a pest control product due to its versatile and highly effective properties. It works on contact in multiple ways:

As an insecticide and miticide it works as an antifeedant (insects will stop feeding after they ingest it), as a growth regulator/hormone disruptor ( it prevents normal hormone releases that trigger growth and maturation) and as a smotherant (insects that coated with neem oil will suffocate).

As a fungicide: it will inhibit mycelial growth by coating the spores, which prevents further spore development. will not kill fungal pathogens outright, it will only inhibit further develop, so it's important to treat the area ahead of an infestation.

Kills the eggs, larvae and adult stages of insects.
Thorough plant coverage is essential to obtain optimal levels of control.
Can be used up to the day of harvest - 0-day Pre-Harvest Interval (0-Day PHI).
Does not require any additional product like a spreader, sticker or extender.
Controls Alternaria, Anthracnose, Black Spot, Botrytis, Downy Mildew, Needle Rust, Powdery Mildew, Scab, and Twig and Tip Blight. Please see below for a list of insect pests controlled.

General Instructions:

Not for use in food-handling areas.
Thorough plant coverage is essential to obtain optimal levels of control.
Do not apply to wilted or otherwise stressed plants.
As with other pest control products, exercise care in timing applications to early morning/late evening to minimize the potential for leaf burn.
Use with care on plants with tender tissue. Check for leaf burn in small-scale trials prior to use.

Insecticide/Miticide Use: Monterey Neem Oil is labeled for the control of aphids, whitefly, mites, scale, beetles, leafrollers and other insect pests.

Mix at the rate of 1-2 oz. per gallon of water and thoroughly spray all plant surfaces (including the undersides of leaves) until wet. Mix the solution frequently as you spray. Apply every 7-14 days; for heavy infestation, apply every 7 days.

Fungicide Use: For the prevention and control of many fungal diseases including powdery mildew, black spot, downy mildew, anthracnose, rust, leaf spot, Botrytis, needle rust, blights, and Alternaria.

Mix at the rate of 1 oz. per gallon of water and thoroughly spray all plant surfaces (including the undersides of leaves) until wet. Mix the solution frequently as you spray. As a preventive, apply on a 7-14 day schedule until development danger is past. If a disease is already present, apply every 7 days until control is achieved.

Environment:

Environmental Hazards: To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters. Applying this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will help to ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area.

Bee Hazard: This product is toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment. Do not apply this product while bees are actively visiting the treatment area.

Storage: Keep in original container. Store away from direct sunlight, feed, or foodstuffs. Keep container tightly sealed when not in use. Keep from freezing.

Shipping Restrictions:

RTU cannot be shipped to ND or WY.
Concentrate (including RTS) cannot be shipped to OR.

Warning & Toxicities: Avoid skin and eye contact. Toxic to amphibians, fish, and molluscs

After exhausting our IPM protocols, this is often the first product we reach for to get control of landscape pests. A great all-around product for prevention as well as treatment with excellent efficacy if applied properly.

Neem oil-just what I needed

I was so happy to find Arbico Organics, and to be able to order Neem oil and have it delivered so rapidly. My lime tree was having aphid problems again, and I think the problem is solved at last. We also got Milky Spore for grubs, which we won't see the results on for awhile, but the price, shipping costs and time to delivery were all very reasonable.

Good product, but RTU nozzle is finicky

The spray nozzle with the RTU neem oil didn't work at all, even after cleaning it out. I've had this trouble with neem oil before, but was hoping this product would be different. I talked to Arbico about it and they encouraged me to reach out to Monterrey, the manufacturer. After a week of no response from Monterrey, I talked to Arbico again and they quickly shipped out a replacement. The replacement nozzle works great! So hopefully we just got a dud the first time. Super appreciated Arbico's customer service.
