Originally from France, versions of this marvelous carrot had begun appearing in seed catalogs in the US by 1870. With its vibrant orange color, lacy green tops and uniform, small cored, 7-8" roots this is the perfect carrot. Sweet and crunchy when raw, their mild flavor and beautiful color will hold when they are cooked. Many people enjoy the stems of the baby carrots simply steamed.
