These hardy climbing plants will produce lavishly whether temperatures are cool or warm. You can expect to see vigorous 2½-3 foot plants with lots of large, light green plump pods. Inside each pod there should be 6-7 peas. There could be more, however, and some say you should make a wish if you find 9 or more in a pod. Both the peas and pods of these plants are edible and sweetly juicy and crisp. Mega Peas are resistant to enation mosaic virus, a common pea disease that is especially troublesome in the maritime Northwest.
