When fertilizing your plants and trees with this product, they may do best with the additional practice of adding compost and mulch.
SOIL DIRECTIONS –
Use up to 3 times a year – in spring, summer and early fall.
New & Young (under 2 years) Fruit, Nut & Ornamental Trees, Roses & Shrubs:
- Apply 1 cup of IV Organic All Purpose fertilizer per plants, scattered around the root zone (the area under the branches), but keep it a couple of inches from the trunk.
- Carefully scratch the surface (not more than ¼") with a tool to bring the fertilizer in contact with the soil.
- Water thoroughly after application.
Established (3 years & Older) Fruit, Nut & Ornamental Trees, Roses & Shrubs:
- Apply up to 3 cups (approximately 1 lb) of IV Organic All Purpose fertilizer per plant every 2-3 months during the growing season.
Vegetables & Annuals:
- Prior to planting, apply 3 cups (approximately 1 lb) of IV Organic All Purpose fertilizer per 20 sq ft and work into the top 2-4" of soil.
- Continue to reapply 3 cups per 20 sq ft, sprinkled around the root zone, every 60-90 days during the growing season. Keep a couple of inches away from the trunk.
Potted Plants:
- Apply 1 tablespoon of IV Organic fertilizer All Purpose per gallon size container, up to 5 tablespoons, every 30 days during the growing season.
FOLIAR FEED/NUTRITIONAL SPRAY DIRECTIONS –
Use up to 4 times a year - in spring, summer, fall and winter.
- Add 1 tablespoon of IV Organic All Purpose fertilizer per gallon of water and let sit for at least 1 hour.
- Mix thoroughly and filter through a fine strainer to avoid the possibility of clogging sprayer.
- Spray on upper and lower surfaces of leaves once per season.
- Apply as a nutritional spray on evergreens in the winter. For all other plants, apply spring, summer and early fall before the leaves fall.
COMPOST TEA –
- Apply 5 tablespoons of IV Organic All Purpose fertilizer with 1 cup compost to a 5-gallon container of rain, pond, or 3-day old public water.
- Add 5 tablespoons of sugar (preferably raw or organic syrup).
- Sink a bubbler to the bottom of the container, as used in fish tanks.
- After 2-3 days, use the solution as a drench around your favorite plants and trees.
- Repeat these steps every 2-4 weeks during the growing seasons.
- This solution may also be used to foliar feed your plants; however, if more cups of compost are added, then dilute the solution with at least 50% water prior to foliar application.
