This smallish plant will produce heavy and uniform 3-4 pound heads. Once you unwrap these deep green heads from their protective outer leaves and cut into them, you will find a dense interior with a short core. The tender inner leaves have a crisp and ever-so-slight peppery flavor that works well in slaws, stir-fries and egg rolls. The Farao holds well, even in the summer months, without splitting. The size and uniformity of this variety makes it a great choice for market growing. Certified organic.
