Ticks were once considered to be simply nasty little pests. We now know that they are more than that – they are carriers of serious diseases. We hear a lot about Lyme disease these days and for good reasons; according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), around 300,000 people a year are diagnosed with this illness. While this is a staggering amount, Lyme disease is only spread through the blacklegged tick (Ixodes scapularis and Ixodes pacificus), also known as the deer tick. These ticks are found in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic, North Central states and the West Coast (especially Northern California). Residents of other areas of North America are not safe from tick diseases, however. There are many other diseases that various species of ticks are vectors for. These include: Erlichiosis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (which can be fatal if untreated), Tularemia and Southern Tick-Associated Rash Illness (STAR). As the lines continue to blur between human and wildlife habitat, ticks will be riding into our neighborhoods on the backs of animals and the diseases they carry will continue to plague us. Our first and best line of defense is to keep them off us.

Suggested Uses:
- As you venture outdoors, use this wonderful-smelling spray liberally. Reapply as needed. Or, if you are outdoors in an area with a high insect population for an extended period of time, reapply every 2 hours. Reapply after exposure to water.
- Ticks do not fly or jump, they crawl. So, spray thoroughly around your feet and ankles to create a strong barrier where they will most likely gain access to your body.

Protector Tick Repellent will not harm your pet. In fact, since pet owners are more likely to encounter ticks than other people, we suggest you protect yourself and them by applying some
Protector to your pet's fur before you take him or her outside.
Storage: Store at room temperature. Store only in original container in a dry place inaccessible to children and pets.
Warning & Toxicities: For external use only. Do not use in the eyes. In case of eye contact, rinse eyes thoroughly with water. Discontinue use if irritation or redness develops. If condition persists for more than 72 hours, consult a doctor. Keep out of reach of children. Do not apply to hands of children. Apply to children only with adult supervision.
