This inoculant is easy to use: simply mix with water, allow to ferment and activate for 12-24 hours. Spray onto the compost piles as you make or turn them. Each unit inoculates 1 ton (1.0 cubic yards = 3 ft x 3ft x 3ft) of raw materials and contains 55 strains of nitrogen-fixing, decomposing soil bacteria, enzymes and hormones in a herbal base. For back yard composting, mix a pinch of starter in your compost bucket each time you add it to the pile, thereby continually inoculating your compost pile. Generally 2-5 gal. of water is sufficient for diluting 1 unit of starter for 1 ton of compost. Detailed instructions included!
