This hardy and compact plant proves good things come in small packages. While it won't grow much more than 6" tall, its ruffled, bright green leaves can form heads of up to 10" in diameter. By harvesting the outer leaves as they grow (the "cut and come again" method) and leaving the inner leaves to grow out, you can have a constant supply throughout a long growing season. Alternatively, you can let them grow into complete, full heads and pick the entire thing. This lettuce is very heat tolerant, reluctant to bolt, and will keep its sweetness even in the heat of the summer. It is also resistant to Bottom Rot.
