If you love a good Caesar salad, this romaine is the one for you. The broad, meaty leaves of this plant can reach 11-12" in height and can easily support their upright, conical heads. Enjoy this delectable romaine as a "cut and come again" crop by plucking the outside leaves as they mature and then allowing the inner leaves to grow out and replace them. This will give you months of lettuce. Or you can harvest the whole crunchy head at once. Either way, this plant requires minimal care. Valmaine romaine is quit heat tolerant and will remain productive and sweet through seasonal temperature changes. While the flavor and texture of this lettuce makes it a natural choice for salads, it also adds a special lovely crunch to sandwiches. Downy Mildew tolerant.
