Known by many names (including Sakata's Evergreen Hardy, Nebuka Onion and Japanese Bunching Onion), the highly productive Evergreen Bunching Onion is the first choice for many market growers and home gardeners. This plant will produce 12-14" long, slender, leek-like green stalks with silvery-white tips on the root end. These delicately flavored ends have a white outer skin that does not need to be stripped before eating. This onion is non-bulbing works well as a scallion or when bunched as a green onion. These durable onions will divide continuously and can overwinter, so treat yourself to plenty of onions and plant in spring for a summer crop and again in early fall for a crop the following spring. Disease resistant.

- Sow seeds in flats or pots and lightly cover.
- Seed germinates best at 70°F in 10 days.
- Plant or set out in full sun in northern climates. In hot climates, choose areas with afternoon shade.
