Also known as Long Standing spinach, this spinach was developed by David Landreth and introduced by his seed company in 1826. This plant will grow to about 10-12" in height with a 4" spread and produce copious amounts of thick-textured, dark green and glossy, crinkled leaves. These plants are hardy in most temperatures and are slow to bolt, making them particularly well suited for sowing both in the spring and late summer. Pick leaves early for optimum flavor and tenderness. Bloomsdale Spinach is resistant to Cucumber Mosaic Virus.
