These seeds produce a beautiful blend of bright yellow, vivid orange and radiant red, lightly scented blooms on a bed of Emerald-green, disc-shaped foliage. The flowers are not just ornamental, both their blossoms and leaves are edible. Try the flowers in a salad for a pop of color and a dash of zesty, peppery flavor. These large seeds are easy for children and others to handle.

Sowing Indoors –
  • Start seeds in pots or flats 3-4 weeks prior to your average last frost date.

Sowing Outdoors –
  • Direct sow after the danger of frost has passed.
  • Sow into well-worked soil.
Growing Tips –
T. majus nasturtiums have a vining habit and are best trellised up a fence or other support, or they will creep and form a spreading mat of foliage and flowers. Pick the dead flowers to prolong blooming and keep uniformly moist.

Fertilization Tips:
Nasturtiums do not necessarily like to be fertilized. Avoid excessive nitrogen, as it will promote foliar growth and reduce blooms.
