This chard gives a gorgeous mix of red, orange, yellow, pink and white ribs topped with green or dark maroon leaves. This plant is delightful enough to simply plant it for its beauty, but the superb meaty flavor packed with nutrition makes it the perfect edible. Able to grow just about anywhere, these leaves can grow up to 18" tall but you can begin harvesting them when they are 5-8" tall. This variety of chard is a big hit for market and specialty growers due to its productivity, flavor and beauty. Chard can be substituted for spinach in most cases and goes well with roasted meats, cheeses and in cream sauces.
