Get a jumpstart on pepper season with this jalapeño. This pepper is well adapted to cooler temperatures and will begin setting fruit earlier than other varieties. These compact and sturdy plants will grow to about 2 feet tall and can stand up to the heavy load of fruit they will produce. The thick-walled, cone-shaped fruit will be 2-3" long and full of juicy flavor. Fruit will begin as dark green and ripen to red. Delicious in either stage, these peppers will be their hottest when they're fully ripe and red. These jalapeños are perfect whole, whether fresh or pickled. Or chop them up for salsas and other dishes that need that extra kick of heat.
