Originally from the Ukraine, this tomato was selected by Mikhailovich Maslov, a Russian space engineer turned gardener. He named it after his comrade, Vladislov Volkov, who died on the ill-fated Soyuz spacecraft as it attempted to re-enter the earth's atmosphere. A tough plant, this is a high yielder and will set well in hot weather or cool. Luscious fruit will grow to about 2-3" and be orange/red with greenish shoulders with a slightly flattened appearance. This is an excellent choice for the home or commercial gardener and it grows well indoors or out. The taste of this tomato is simply out of this world-it's sweet and tangy with incredibly flavorful and full-bodied juice. Semi-determinate.
