Sample question:
A party guest brought you a pot of blooming “Tète-à- Tète” Cyclamineus narcissus, a small daffodil variety. You’ve fallen in love with it. Too bad: the plant will die when the blooms are done and that’s that. Right?
Answer: Au contraire! Invite that person back again! The small but mighty “Tète-à- Tète” is one of the best daffodils for naturalizing after it has been forced. Keep it in a sunny window, but plant the narcissus outdoors as soon as the danger of hard frost is past; don’t wait for the foliage to die. And don’t worry about burying part of the leaves, which you will probably have to do in order to plant the bulbs at the proper depth. The bulb bases should be about 4 inches from the surface.
