For Starchy Vegetables, Legumes, Fruit or Nut Trees, and Grapes
McGeary Organics 2-3-4 is a superb fertilizer for starchy vegetables, legumes, fruit or nut trees, and grapes. Its higher level of potassium enables more starch production. When fruits ripen, their starch is converted to sugar. McGeary 2-3-4 makes better potatoes and fruit! The potassium also increases disease resistance. Your yield will taste better, and your plants or trees will be healthier. Its special formulation allows heavier application without damage to seedlings, plants, or trees. In addition, it is OMRI listed for organic production and conforms to NOP standards.
McGeary Organics 2-3-4 is a multi-nutrient blend containing nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium with high-quality compost as its base. McGeary Organics 2-3-4 contains Compost, Colloidal Phosphate, Rock Phosphate, Langbeinite, Porcine Blood Meal, Steamed Bone Meal, and Plant Protein Products. The compost base adds needed secondary nutrients. It slowly releases needed nutrients, which helps control loss from leaching.
See the chart below for recommendations. All amounts are for the nutrient needs of moderately high yielding crops being grown in soils of low to moderate fertility. Soils that have been well fertilized in the recent past, or have received manure or compost within the past year should be fertilized at rates lower, in some cases considerably lower, than those listed here.
