 Control and eliminate string algae, pond odor and algae blooms in water gardens, ponds, waterfalls, golf course ponds, fountains, non-painted surfaces, standing waters, sewage systems, and other non-potable water. This algaecide works by creating oxidation which breaks down algae cells on contact. GreenClean® Granular can be used as a curative or preventative treatment for algae and related pond odor all season long in a wide range of pH conditions. Signs of the algaecide working are almost immediate, and can be noticed as bubbling and discoloration of algae. After treatment, waters may be used without interruption. Usage Recommendations: Apply to the pond surface, spot treat or inject through water system at the onset of algae growth. After treatment, skim dead algae and organic materials off water surfaces. Let about 48 hours pass between treatments. Break up floating algae mats to ensure that granules penetrate all depths of water. Determine volume of water to be treated and multiply the volume in inches by 7.5 to determine amount in gallons.
