This mite predator will tolerate high humidity and higher temperatures than other mite predators.

Preferred food: Two-spotted spider mites, eriophyid mites and many others.

Shipment, biology and release: This mite predator does best in warm weather (80º to 110º F) and prefers humidity 40%. In temperatures less than 80º F it may go into hibernation or slow down consumption of mites considerably. Ideal for use on fruit trees, vegetable, grape and field crops. Use in a greenhouse only if plants are maintained as low as 40% RH. Adults eat 1-3 pest adults or up to 6 eggs/day.

Release rates: Indoors, 1,000/500 sq. ft. bi-weekly, 2-3 applications; outdoors, 5,000-20,000/acre, bi-weekly, 2-3 applications.
