Codling Moth Control

Codling Moth

Codling Moth (Cydia pomonella)
Known as an apple pest, the codling moth is found all over the world in the chief apple and pear growing areas, except Japan and Western Australia. The moth has a wing span of nearly 18 mm, and the fore wings are gray-brown crossed with lines of lighter gray with deep golden or bronzed areas near the tips. The moths emerge and lay eggs on the surface of fruit. The larvae tunnel into the fruit, usually to the core, and can tunnel into every fruit on a tree.

Pheromone trapping lures male moths and helps to trap and monitor the codling moths. Try these organic and approved products to deter and monitor codling moths.
