We are pleased to offer Rachael Sudlow's exquisite cicada wing jewelry with its delicate remembrance of nature. To begin the bracelet, she traced a real cicada wing to reveal every vein and line. Then she laser cut this pattern onto thick stainless steel, making the spindly lines become the framework to a set of beautiful silvery wings. She uses the larger upper wings and the smaller, more delicate lower wings. She loops them together by soldered sterling silver rings. The metal is brushed and smoothed along the sides. The bracelet closes with a soldered sterling clasp that hooks onto an adjustable length of chain. It is adjustable from 6"-8 ½". She has signed one of the wings. The result is stunning. What a unique gift to remember a summer's day and the soft sound of the cicada!
The photo is a sample; due to the unique design of each wing, yours may have slight variations.
