These fly larvae contain the lowest amount of chitin and highest amount of protein and are easily digestible by baby birds. Tiny Wigglers are ready to eat upon arrival. To delay pupation, rinse the larvae with lukewarm water and strain with a fine sieve. Place the Wigglers in fresh cornmeal and replace in the original container. When refrigerated, larvae will remain viable for up to two weeks. When ready to use, warm Wigglers to room temperature. Place in a feeding receptacle that is at least 1" deep. One oz. equals approximately 1/4 cup equals approximately 1,500 larvae.
